| | Reviews | | Go for it if u have a receiver! |
| This product is made by MONSTER CABLE so it pretty much have a standard of performance. The S-Video works perfect with flat screens because of the clarity. The Fiber-optic needs a receiver and it's only wroth it if you are going to use it as your first or secondary DVD machine. Don't waste money if you are not turning on the DTS. If you are buying this kit to watch DVD mainly. It's wroth the cost. Get a remote control too if watching DVD.
| | This also works on the PS3 |
| I had been doing a search for S-video cables for the PS3 and wasn't having much luck, until I read this on a newsgroup 'PS2 component video cables work on the PS3'. So since that means the connector is the same, I bought this set and said "It should work".
Well it does!! The set also has the digital fiber-optic cable to get the best audio. All you have to do is go into the settings and configure the optical output, the video is fine as is (if using the supplied cable that came with the console).
So if you are waiting to buy an HDTV when the support the HDMI 1.3 and/or the Laser HDTV later this year, and you don't have component video, the S-video is much better than the standard composite.
